Husnabad is a city located on the banks of River Yellammagadda Vagu in Karimnagar district of Telangana. It is located at a distance of 40 km away from the district Headquarters Karimnagar and 126 km away from the state capital Hyderabad. The city comes within Telangana region of Telangana district. The annual summer festival Yellamma Jatara is very popular in the city.

People of all religions and communities reside in the city and they mostly speak Telugu language. As per 2011 population census the city records a total population of 22099 and it homes 5779 houses within its boundary.

Geography of Husnabad

Husnabad city covers a total area of 25 sq km within its boundary. The city is elevated at a height of 251 meters above sea level and it got its coordinates at 18° 12' North latitude and 79° 15' East longitude. The city is bounded by Bheemdevarapalli Mandal in the East, Chigurumamidi Mandal in the North, Koheda Mandal in the west and Kamalapur Mandal in the East.

River Yellammagadda Vagu flows very close to Husnabad border towards its south and west. The city is surrounded by many ponds. Summers are hot and long while winters are cool in Husnabad.
